Refund & Return Policy 7 Days
At ShillongBooks.com, we want every customer to receive their books safely and correctly. Please read the following policy before placing an order.
1. 7-Day Return Policy
Customers may request a return within 7 days of delivery if the book is damaged, defective, incorrect, or has a valid issue covered under this policy.
The book must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
2. Mandatory Unboxing Video
For any return or refund claim, an unboxing video is mandatory.
The video must:
- Start before opening the package.
- Clearly show the shipping label/order details.
- Clearly show the QR code provided on the package, with the QR code easily visible and readable.
- Show the package being opened continuously.
- Clearly show the condition of the book and any damage, defect, or incorrect product.
Claims without a valid unboxing video may not be eligible for a return or refund.
Do not cut, edit, or pause the video during the unboxing process.
3. Damaged or Incorrect Book
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect book, contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide the required unboxing video and supporting photographs.
After verification, we may provide a replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances and product availability.
4. Change of Mind
Returns due solely to a change of mind, ordering the wrong class/subject, or no longer requiring the book may not be accepted.
Please verify the class, subject, edition, quantity, and delivery address before placing your order.
5. Condition of Returned Books
Approved returns must be sent back in substantially the same condition in which they were received.
Returns may be rejected if the book has been:
- Written or marked in
- Torn or deliberately damaged
- Heavily used
- Modified or altered
6. Refund Processing
Once the returned product has been received and inspected, we will confirm whether the refund is approved.
Approved refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method. Depending on the bank or payment provider, the refund may take approximately 2–7 business days to appear.
7. Out-of-Stock Orders
If a book becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, ShillongBooks.com may cancel the affected order and issue a refund for the amount paid for that product.
8. How to Request a Return or Refund
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with:
- Order number
- Customer name
- Registered phone number/email
- Reason for the return/refund
- Complete unboxing video
- Supporting photographs, if required

9. Policy Verification
All return and refund requests are subject to verification. We reserve the right to review the submitted evidence before approving a return, replacement, or refund.
